KALIBO, Aklan–On the first day of the roll-out of vaccines for the Province of Aklan, a total number of 278 health care workers of the Aklan Provincial Hospital were vaccinated against the coronavirus diseases.
Six of the vaccinated health care workers were found to have a minor adverse effect such as headache and higher blood pressure. These symptoms are said to be normal and there is no need to be distressed about it.
Furthermore, the health care workers are still being monitored should any more symptoms arise. And after 28 days, they will again be vaccinated for the second dose.
About 2,420 vials of the Sinovac Vaccine finally arrived for the health care workers of Aklan, marking them as the main priority to be inoculated against the coronavirus disease.
Dr. Cornelio Cuachon of the PHO Aklan continues to address the Aklanons not to be afraid and do not doubt the efficiency rates of the vaccines in order for them to be safe against the COVID-19. (Jess Salonzo)
