After a week in October, more and more tourist visited Boracay with 6,900 plus travelers recorded

In just a week passed in October, Boracay Island already saw more than 6,900 tourists coming to its shores, wherein most came from the National Capital Region (NCR).

According to the Malay Tourism Office, a total of 6,925 travelers visited the famous Island from October 1 to 10.

Based on their data, the NCR accounts for 5,125 of the total visitors in Boracay, while travelers from Aklan account for 475.

Below is the list of the number of visitors who arrived in Boracay per region:

  • CAR- 29
  • Ilocos- 28
  • Cagayan - 23
  • Central Luzon - 399
  • CALABARZON - 476
  • MIMAROPA - 16
  • Bicol - 18
  • Western Visayas - 180
  • Aklan - 475
  • Central Visayas - 72
  • Eastern Visayas - 12
  • Zambaonga - 22
  • Northern Mindanao - 25
  • Davao - 17
  • SOCCSSARGEN - 1
  • CARAGA - 6

In the previous data, there were always more males visiting Boracay than females, but this time, the Malay tourism office recorded more females coming to the Island with 3,490, than males with 3,435.

As for the age groups, ages 13-59 years old dominated the list with 6499, while 314 tourists are ages 0-12, and lastly, there were 112 travelers ages 60 and up.

Most visitors also traveled by air than land or sea; 5620 traveled by air, 1220 by sea, and 85 by land.
