Boracay Island recorded its highest tourist arrivals by far for the year 2021 with more than 83,000 visitors

Boracay Island had a happy holiday as it saw more than 83,000 tourists visiting its shores, the highest ever recorded tourists arrivals since the pandemic started.

According to the Malay Tourism Data, 83,226 went to the Island from December 1 to 25; it topped the highest recorded number of visitors to Boracay last November with 40,474 arrivals.

As the local government continues to ease their requirements for tourists going to Boracay, surely the Island's recovery is not far off.

Travelers coming from the National Capital Region (NCR) remain to be the top of the list of tourists visiting the renowned white beach.

More female travelers visited Boracay Island this time with 42,508 than male tourists with 40,718.

As for the age groups, ages 13-59 years old still dominated the list with 67, 484, while 13,213 tourists are ages 0-12, and lastly, there were 2,529 travelers ages 60 and up.

More visitors traveled by air than land or sea; 63,377 traveled by air, 1,382 by sea, and 18,467 by land.
