Boracay Island welcomed more than 21,000 tourists arrivals, wherein most came from the National Capital Region (NCR).
Restrictions continue to ease, and soon RT-PCR testing for fully vaccinated individuals will be waived, which means the world-renowned Boracay Island will get to see more tourists coming to its shores.
Even Tourism Secretary Berna Romulo-Puyat is optimistic about the revival of tourism on the Island, as she said in a statement from a press release.
According to the Malay Tourism Office data, a total of 21,157 visited Boracay from October 1 to 24.
Travelers from the NCR remain the top tourist arrivals going to the Island, while travelers from CALABARZON account for 1,563 of the total tourist arrivals.

Meanwhile, in the records, more male tourists went to Boracay with 10,656 in total than female visitors with 10,501.
As for the age groups, ages 13-59 years old dominated the list with 19,354, while 1,369 tourists are ages 0-12, and lastly, there were 434 travelers ages 60 and up.
Furthermore, people travel by air the most with 18,298, followed by land with 2,687 and lastly, sea with 172.
