Boracay Island's recovery is not far off as more tourists visited the famous Island

Things are looking better for Boracay Island as the number of tourist arrivals in just the second week of November is almost doubled compared to last month's second-week arrivals.

Based on the Malay tourism office's data, 24,355 tourists visited Boracay from November 1 to 14, where travelers from the National Capital Region (NCR) remain the top tourist arrivals.

Meanwhile, more tourists are expected to visit as the RT-PCR test requirement for fully vaccinated individuals will be waived starting November 16, as confirmed by the Aklan governor Florencio Miraflores.

Below is the list of the number of visitors who arrived in Boracay per region:

  • Central Luzon - 1,921
  • CALABARZON - 4,587
  • MIMAROPA - 64
  • Bicol - 70
  • Western Visayas - 1,655
  • Aklan - 1,729
  • Central Visayas - 260
  • Eastern Visayas - 25
  • Zambaonga - 20
  • Northern Mindanao - 95
  • Davao - 88
  • SOCCSSARGEN - 19
  • CARAGA - 30
  • BARMM - 6

More female travelers went to visit Boracay Island this time with 12,275 travelers than male tourists with 12,080.

As for the age groups, ages 13-59 years old still dominated the list with 21,545, while 2,151 tourists are ages 0-12, and lastly, there were 659 travelers ages 60 and up.

Most visitors also traveled by air than land or sea; 20,000 traveled by air, 997 by sea, and 3,358 by land.
