More than 5,000 tourists visited Boracay Island this September

Boracay Island saw an increase of tourists coming to its shores as more than 5,000 travelers had visited the Island since its reopening in the month of September.

Based on the Malay Tourism Office data, the number of visitor arrivals in Boracay Island reached a total of 5,047, wherein tourists use Caticlan as their entry point.

As travel restrictions eased, more and more tourists came pouring into the famous Island, especially those from the National Capital Region (NCR).

The NCR accounts for 3,445 of the total arrival visits in Boracay, with Aklan coming in 2nd with 458 tourists.

Meanwhile, in the records, more male tourists went to Boracay with 2,651 in total, than female visitors with only 2396.

As for the age groups, ages 13-59 years old dominated the list with 4787, while 166 tourists are ages 0-12, and lastly, there were 94 travelers ages 60 and up.

Most visitors also traveled by air than land or sea; 4255 traveled by air, 202 by sea, and 590 by land.
