NBI apprehended 3 Filipinos and 1 foreigner for violating the National Forestry and Environmental laws in Boracay

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) seized three Filipinos and one foreigner for constructing a property in the forestland area of Boracay Island.

The apprehension occurred yesterday, September 21, 2021, at 5:00 pm.

The NBI led the arrest of the individuals named Dhelmar Evangelo, 29 years old, and Gerald Alapag, also 29 years old; both are from Brgy. Yapak, Mark Bernard Alcantara, 42 years old, and Ludwig August Borchers, 69 years old, both came from Brgy. Balabag.

The said individuals are charged for violating PD 705, “Revised Forestry Code of the Philippines.”

In November last year, ten individuals, four foreigners, and six Filipinos were arrested by the NBI for violating the National Forestry and Environmental laws.
