New Guide For Tourists going to Boracay Island (Updated Dec. 1, 2021)

The Aklan Provincial Government released new guidelines for tourists going to Boracay Island that will be effective starting December 1, 2021.

Before tourists can apply for the Online Health Declaration Card (OHDC) Form obtain the digital copies of the following requirements in your device:

For Fully Vaccinated Tourists:

  • Proof of Identification with Philippine Residency
    -Passport for Foreigners/OFWs/OFs
  • VaxCertPH COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate with full vaccination status (get this from: https://vaxcert.doh.gov.ph/)
    - Or Locally-issued Vaccination Card/ID with full vaccination status and with verifiable QR Code
    - Or Locally-issued Vaccination Card/ID with full vaccination status and with Certificate of Vaccination from vaccination center with contact details
    - Or Vaccination Card/ID/Certificate issued Abroad
  • A copy of the confirmed booking slip/form from a DOT-Accredited Boracay Island accommodation establishment
  • Roundtrip flight/travel details
  • Lastly, registration of Health Declaration Form in Malay, Municipal Tourism Office website at https://www.touristboracay.com for the issuance of QR Code individually.

For Partially or Unvaccinated Tourists:

  • Proof of Identification with Philippine Residency
    -Passport for Foreigners/OFWs/OFs
  • Negative RT-PCR result certificate (saliva, nasopharyngeal or oropharyngeal) with the date of extraction within 72 hours to date of travel
  • A copy of the confirmed booking slip/form from a DOT-Accredited Boracay Island accommodation establishment
  • Roundtrip flight/travel details
  • Lastly, registration of Health Declaration Form in Malay, Municipal Tourism Office website at https://www.touristboracay.com for the issuance of QR Code individually.

Minors:

If tourists plan to go with kids aged 0-11 years old, they must accomplish a Certificate of Undertaking Travelling with Minors template in https://aklan.gov.ph under Tourism. Kids of these ages are also exempted from a negative RT-PCR test.

As for children aged 12 years old and above, unless they are fully vaccinated, they must have a negative RT-PCR test result.

Once you press the submit button on the form, a confirmation page will display a Reference Code and a QR Code, don't forget to take a screenshot or print the confirmation page.

Keep your digital or printed QR code with you all the time.

The QR Code is used in the ports of entry/exit (land, air, sea) and in accessing services in Boracay Island.

NOTE:

The OHDC QR Code has an expiry of twelve (12) hours from the tourist's accommodation checkout time.

If travelers want to extend their stay in Boracay Island, send an email of a new booking slip to [email protected]. Failure to notify the validator may result in a delay in accessing services in Boracay Island and in exiting the ports.

The government of Aklan Province said that to prevent the tourist's OHDC from being invalidated, they must upload complete, correct, clear, and authentic documents.
