Testing for COVID-19

For a safe travel experience, the INTER-AGENCY TASK FORCE FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF EMERGING INFECTIOUS DISEASES or IATF recommends that you should take the COVID-19 test three days before your actual flight. Either by a swab test or saliva test. Once your test result has returned, and it is negative, you are now good to go.

UPDATE: Issued March 19, 2021 (Office of the Provincial Governor of Aklan):Saliva based RT-PCR test result for all traveler (except APORs-NG) entering the Province of Aklan, including tourists bound for Boracay Island as a pre-boarding requirement, is now allowed; Provided that, the result shall not exceed three(3) days from the time of extraction to date of travel.

Travel booking

Pre-book your flight and the hotel that you are staying. Take note to book roundtrip plane tickets via MPH (Godofredo Ramos Boracay Airport/Caticlan Airpot). For tourists coming to Boracay, this is the only airport of entry.

A confirmation of your booking and flight will help to answer the health declaration form.

Visit the for the health declaration form, fill up the web form and answer questions about your personal information, health information, travel details, booking details, accommodation in Boracay, and your travel itinerary; please answer truthfully.

Afterward, attach a copy of the screenshot of the confirmation page, a copy of your RT PCR results with the date of extraction within 72 hours to date of travel, a copy of your confirmed hotel booking, roundtrip plane ticket, and proof of identification with Philippine Residency at [email protected].

Note: Please submit your documents at least 12 hours or more before your flight/travel to avoid delays. The sent documents are validated by the Provincial Government of Aklan, checking the accommodation establishments and the laboratories. Please send only valid documents as falsification is punishable by law.

Take in mind to use this format in sending the email, subject: OHDC-FamilyName, FirstName. You can attach multiple required documents in one email. Just include a listing of the names of the tourists.

You will then receive a copy of HDC with Tourist QR Code in your email. If processing is successful, wait for an hour after you've sent the email. Again, save this or have it printed. It will be your identification code everywhere you go, may it be to your hotel, restaurants, or facilities. Also, include two valid I.D's to confirm the code. If you have not received any response within two hours, please send another follow-up email.

If processing is unsuccessful, an email will be sent by the Government of Aklan to you requesting additional requirements or clarification. Please immediately comply with this to avoid delays in the QR Code release.

Your Tourist QR Code has an expiry of twelve (12) hours from your accommodation checkout time. If you extend your stay in Boracay Island, please send an email with a new booking slip showing the extension to [email protected] before your original checkout time.

Upon arriving at the airport, please prepare your QR Code; then, you will head to the Caticlan Jetty Port via shuttle service provided by your hotel, or you can commute through a public vehicle. At the Caticlan Jetty Port, you will present your QR code. Kindly prepare all your documents if ever needed for any further clarification.

Next is to proceed at the window for the terminal and environmental fee. Please be guided that the terminal fee for everyone local or foreign tourist costs about ₱100.00 each. While the environmental fee for a local tourist is ₱150.00, and for students, PWD, and seniors citizens with ID is ₱120.00. In comparison, foreigners will pay ₱300.00 per person (11 years old and above).

Then buy your boat tickets if you don't have pre-booked transfer services. For each person, it cost ₱40.00 for the daytime, 6:00 am to 5:29 pm, and for the nighttime, ₱10.00 additional, which will start at 5:30 pm.

Always remember to wear your face mask and face shield inside the vehicle. E-trikes are waiting for you to take you to your hotel or your shuttle service provided by your hotel. Now, depending on your location, chartered rates may vary. For four persons, it is about ₱120.00 going to stations 3 and 2, while for stations 1 and further there is an additional fee. Again prepare your necessary documents upon checking in at your respective hotel.

If you are looking for a relaxing massage service, this is no longer allowed along the beach, though you can still avail of it through room service or in an accredited wellness center on the island.
