Manila—Starting Feb 1, 2021, no swab test will be conducted at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). OFWs will be transferred to a quarantine facility and Non-OFWs must have a confirmed booking (pre-booked) in an accredited hotel for 7 days. The mobile swabbing team will come to the quarantine facility or in the accredited hotel on the 6th day to conduct the swab test. The result will be out after 24 hours.

ARRIVAL AT THE AIRPORT
Upon arrival at the NAIA, passengers will undergo on body temperature scanner. Passengers with symptoms will be immediately isolated, while others may proceed to the briefing area. Then OFW's will be transferred to the assigned quarantine facility by the shuttle provided by the airport administration.
NON-OFW's will proceed in the Bureau of Immigration (BI) and must present a confirmed booking for 7 days in an accredited hotel. They must also prepare the amount of four thousand pesos (Php 4,000.00) per person for the swab test which will be conducted by the mobile swabbing team in their booked hotel on the 6th. day.
Foreign passport holders are now allowed to enter the Philippines even from countries with the new COVID variant. If they have a valid Philippine visa, foreign dignitaries, or with wife, children, parents bearing Philippine passport together with them in the flight. Foreigners who are caught falsifying documents by the Bureau of Immigration will be deported immediately.

AFTER THE SWAB TEST
For the negative result, an endorsement will be given to the respective LGU's. Then LGU's must monitor and advise the OFW to complete the 14 days mandatory quarantine period in their home or quarantine facility. And for the those result are found positive they will be transfer to a medical facility and their sample will be send to The Philippine Genome Center (PGC) and the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) for further analysis.
