Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco has recently unveiled a comprehensive National Tourism Development Plan that focuses on enhancing connectivity and accessibility across the entire archipelago.
“Our President has approved the plan, which puts primacy on the development of tourism infrastructure,” Secretary Frasco emphasized during the Love the Philippines Travel and Tourism Forum in Perth.
The DOT aims to expand and upgrade roads, bridges, and airport facilities, making it easier for visitors to explore the country’s diverse landscapes and cultural treasures.
“The Philippines is known for its incredible beauty, but getting around can be challenging,” said Frasco. “This new plan will make it easier for tourists to explore the islands, experience the warm hospitality, and discover the hidden gems of our nation.”
The DOT has already made significant strides in this effort, with over 531 kilometers of new roads and bridges already constructed.
