Announced by the Department of Tourism on October 5, 2023, these beloved islands have placed third, sixth, and tenth, respectively, on the coveted list.
Scoring high with Boracay at 90.74 points, Palawan at 89.71 points, and Siargao at 87.73 points, the islands have not only demonstrated the Philippines’ natural allure but also its consistent appeal to global travelers year after year. The ranking comes as a significant recognition, shedding light on the efforts towards sustainable tourism by local communities, governmental agencies, and stakeholders who tirelessly work to preserve the islands’ pristine conditions.
The annual Readers’ Choice Awards by Condé Nast Traveler saw the participation of approximately 600,000 readers this year, reflecting a broad spectrum of preferences and experiences in luxury and lifestyle travel. Among the notable mentions in the awards, Bali, Indonesia, clinched the top spot with 91.08 points, while Koh Samui, Thailand, trailed closely with 91.07 points.
