Seatrade Cruise (STC) Group Portfolio Director Mary Bond has showered praise on Filipino hospitality during the welcome reception for Seatrade Cruise (STC) Asia 2024.
Addressing delegates at the prestigious industry gathering, Bond highlighted the Philippines’ reputation for warmth, generosity, and genuine willingness to help visitors.
“This is my first time in the Philippines, and I am sure, like me, anyone who has not been here before has already been made to feel so very welcome,” she stated. “It is rare these days to find such a sea of smiling faces and eagerness to assist visitors, and it truly makes an impression.”
Bond also emphasized the Philippines’ standing as one of Asia’s top ten cruise destinations, boasting stunning beaches, vibrant coral reefs, and rich cultural heritage.
She further underscored the significant contribution of Filipino crew members to the global cruise industry, noting that they are highly regarded and form a substantial part of the workforce.
“The Department of Tourism’s tagline is ‘Love the Philippines,’” Bond concluded. “I think for this evening and this week, permit me to add a few more words and say: The Cruise Industry loves the Philippines!”
Seatrade Cruise Asia, a premier event for the global cruise sector, is being held in the Philippines for the first time. It serves as a platform for industry leaders, travel professionals, and government officials to discuss key trends, explore new opportunities, and foster regional collaboration in the cruise industry.
