The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued a weather alert stating that the Southwest Monsoon is currently influencing Luzon and the western section of Visayas.
Additionally, Tropical Storm Ampil (2407) is located outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, specifically 1,570 kilometers east-northeast of extreme Northern Luzon. The storm has maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h near the center, with gustiness up to 80 km/h, moving slowly northeastward.
In terms of forecasted weather conditions for Boracay and the surrounding areas in Western Visayas and Negros Island Region, PAGASA predicts partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
The Southwest Monsoon is expected to bring possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms in these areas.
