Boracay is set to welcome a significant increase in cruise ship arrivals this 2025, with 17 vessels scheduled to dock throughout the year. Last year, 9 cruise ships visited the island.
The wave of cruise passengers is expected to begin this January with the arrival of prominent vessels like Aidastella, Norwegian Sky, and Seaborne Encore. Local authorities are working to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for visitors by improving port facilities, streamlining tourist services, and organizing cultural events to showcase Boracay’s unique heritage.
The increased cruise ship arrivals present both opportunities and challenges for Boracay Island. While the economic benefits are significant, it is crucial for local authorities and businesses to manage the growth sustainably, ensuring that the island’s natural beauty and cultural heritage are preserved for future generations.
